The amount of stolen works lately is too damn high!
Seriously. Like, I've never had any trouble with stolen artwork, but after attempting to rewrite my old Fire Emblem story about Gaius and Sumia on ff.net, I was very surprised to come across some writing that used pieces of my story in their own. I wasn't sure how to feel about that; I was mostly shocked, but truth be told, it stings.
I never thought to publicize my displeasure about the matter, until today, after being told my soulmate's (
) writing was also stolen. Her beautiful story was taken and not even recognized as her own. It really fueled my fire about this matter. Not only did she push herself to create these ideas, but she also spent time (that she can never get back) and tons of effort to finish her lovely works. Thieves must think that it's flattery to the person they're stealing from, or that no one will notice. But even if you're not looking to find your artwork or writing under someone else's name, you can and probably will find it.
It's not only insanely discouraging to aspiring artists and writers out there, but also massively inconsiderate. Art is not
easy or pointless; it's a positive outlet for those creative souls out there. If you've stolen art, whether you're trying to troll or just don't feel skilled enough to actually make your own, just staaap. You can
make your own art, and with enough practice you won't feel the need to take things that aren't yours to take. <3 Trust me when I say no one ever got good overnight; in most cases it takes years and years of consistent practice and the strength to push past people who told them they'd never be good enough or get where they are. It's not just a solid manifestation of time used, it's a solid manifestation of who they are. To have a massive piece like that taken from you is derailing. Just keep trying and you WILL succeed. And if you need help, ask!
Time in life is precious and it's not fair to not be recognized for those countless hours slaved over a tablet or keyboard or piece of paper, especially when you base your existence around creating. Have faith in yourself and courtesy for others -- please and thanks!
Sorry for the vent, but thanks for listening! If you haven't already checked

Have a good day guys! :>
